	The cards are marked with six digits code (e.g. 250-054) and the date of issue. The first three digits of the code indicate the region and the last three indicate the design. Some older cards have instead of the first three digits of the code, written region name in Japanese. Newer cards have the date of issue indicated by the letter code in the uper left corner of the back side. Until 04.1987 the bar code was on the front of the card (2, 3, 4 or 5 bars), after that date the bar code is on the back of the cards.
