OUTSIDE BALANCED MECHANICAL SEAL

 
  1. Sic Stationary. With double lapped surface to guarantee easy installation and use.
  2. Multiple Hastelloy* C springs. To ensure an even thrust on the rotating face.
  3. Locking ring. Without damaging the shaft, securely fixes the seal in place.
  4. Monolithic rotating face. Eliminates all problems of chemical resistance and mechanical stress.


WHEN SHOULD AN OUTSIDE BALANCED MECHANICAL SEAL BE USED?

When there are particularly strong chemicals able to corrode seals metal parts installed inside the stuffing box.

When the stuffing box is small and a seal cannot be correctly installed inside.

When it is necessary to fit a seal easy to inspect and control or when it is necessary to periodically clean the pump, which would be hard using an inside seal.

When it is necessary to quickly install an efficient, economical, double seal.

When you want to avoid installation errors, quite frequent with inside seals because of the precise measurements that have to be taken for correct assembling.

On pumps used for strong chemicals with vitrified shafts, coated with special materials or made entirely of special polymers.
